Chantyn Raghoebarsingh-Ramdas: Operating Principle
Chantyn Raghoebarsingh; wife, mother, business owner and now the newest owner and regional operating principal for KW Suriname. Her resume boasts expertise in both commercial construction and accounting. Not to mention, being part of the biggest allotment project Suriname has known (300 + acres) Palm Village, where she started her career in Real Estate.
She joined her husband in 2011 to support their organization with the sales and administration. When she joined the company was mainly focused on engineering and construction and underestimated the value of a strong sales- and administrative team causing a gap which she closed within a year after joining the team. She highly focused on customer service, administration and training.
In the past 7 years her company has built the largest multistory department store in Suriname with a combined floor space of 150.000 sq. ft., And currently she has the largest multi story warehouse under construction with a total combined floor space of approx. 270.000 sq. ft.
Chantyn has been very successful in combining strong technical skills with strong commercial and financial accounting skills which has proven to become a winning concept in the construction and real estate industry in Suriname.
It sounds like a handful (it is!), but she still manages to make time for her family and hobbies. To blow off steam, she frequently visits the gym and a kickboxing school, and on the weekends, she hosts awesome get-togethers for her family.
With the multiple offshore oil discoveries, the local real-estate market is expected to rapidly expand. In preparation, Chantyn came across the Keller Williams brand, and with her win-win mindset it was a match made in heaven.
Honest, sincere and tough are just a few descriptions of her character, which certainly translates to the environment she created for her team. Chantyn has always believed in human capital and bringing out the best in every single team member. The fact that Keller Williams enables every region and its teams to make a profit, all while continuously re-investing in each individual is a prime example of "you CAN have your cake and eat it too".
Pooja Biharie: Finance Associate
Pooja was born in Paramaribo, Suriname in the year 1991.
For the first and a half decade of her life she lived in Moengo, a small village in the district Marowijne where she attended her pre-school.
In the year 2006 she relocated to Paramaribo to continue her education. Pooja always had the drive to be independent and successful.
When she finished high school in 2010, she started working as a debt collection employee at Telenamic.
She quickly realized that she wanted to do more and began working at Surichange Bank N.V. as an Internal Auditor at the age of 19.
Throughout these years she took various courses such as AML, FATCA, report writing for Auditors and continuously improved her leadership skills.
Midst in 2014 she started with the study Accountancy at Suriname Collage of Accountancy, member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
After 5 years, in 2016 she decided it was time for bigger opportunities.
She is the Finance Manager at Raghoebarsingh Construction N.V. for almost 6 years now.
In 2019 Pooja had a big contribution in the start up of Almeera Construction & Engineering NV, a subsidiary of Raghoebarsingh Construction N.V. , located in Aruba. She was responsible for the finances, the different licenses and all-round logistics.
Recently she also took on the role as Finance Associate at Keller Williams Suriname.
Pooja believes that with the support of her loved ones and the grace of God she can conquer the world and strives to do better each day.
Raveena Raghoebarsingh: Team Leader/ Tech trainer
Raveena is the Team Leader and Tech trainer for the Region of Suriname. She will make sure all the agents you will come across from KW Suriname are properly trained in sales, marketing and of course, real estate procedures.
Having concluded her bachelors degree in International Business Management & Studies, KW Suriname was an opportunity she could not pass by.
She has been part of the Raghoebarsingh Construction company for 2 years and has previous experience in marketing. The past 2 years in mentorship of Chantyn was the preparation she needed to take on the role as Team Leader.
The Keller Williams systems and models are proven, and she has experienced first hand how big the gap was between client and agent and she is ready to close that gap with her expertise.
